‘Early 2015’ FirstHearthstonehit the PC, then it was available on iPads some time after that. But it still hasn’t hit Android at all, and the iPhone release never really had a clear release date outside of “TBA 2014.” Thankfully Blizzard has cleared things up a bit, asHearthstoneis coming to both of the aforementioned platforms in early 2015. The delay was due to “needing more time to get that version right.” It will launch on both Android tablets and smartphones at that time....

But it sure is rewarding I always liked the sound ofGuns of Icarus Online. It’s a competitive multiplayer game in which players work together to control a steampunk airship and take on other teams. Someone physically steers the vessel, while others man turrets, spot enemy ships, and put out fires. It’s one of those games that you probably don’t want to get into unless you can assemble a decent, reliable group — that’s been my thinking these past few years, anyway....

With his killer theme Nintendo kicked off theirSmashDirect right: Ken is confirmed to be taking part in the festivities, as is the Pokemon Incineroar. Sakurai reminds us that they have 72 fighters confirmed so far (“74 if you count Pokemon Trainers forms), and now they have 74official fullcharacters. Ken is an Echo Fighter for Ryu and based on hisSuper Street Fighter II Turboincarnation. All his moves are slightly altered as well as his command kicks and he’s a little faster than Ryu....

In case you haven’t heard,Baldur’s Gate 3is pretty hot right now. A newKirbygame for the Wii has existed in rumor form for years, but whenKirby’s Epic Yarnwas announced at E3 2010, nobody could have expected that the titular pink lump was going to become a titular pink length of thread. How on Earth did that come about? I got to speak to Nintendo’s Kit Ellis about the game, and put the question forth: Why is Kirby made out of string? “The original idea came from the staff at Good-Feel, which was inspired by a stop-animation film made primarily with yarn,” explains Ellis....

Coming down the pipe Nintendo’s mobile racing grinderMario Kart Touris the latest video game to ring in a whole new year – or decade, even – with some fresh seasonal content. A newly-released trailer reveals the existence of several celebratory character skins, all headed to the much-malignedpipe system. New skins will see Mario rocking his Happi outfit from the acclaimedSuper Mario Odyssey, while Toad puts on a snazzy jacket, bow-tie and party hat....

Max Payne 3‘ssignificant PC specsought to have been a clue that Rockstar’s upcoming game will be quite a demanding one, so it should come as no surprise that it’ll ship on two discs for Xbox 360. Rockstar confirmed the newson Twitter. One disc will house half of the single-player campaign, while the other hosts the second half alongside the multiplayer. Forewarned is forearmed, so if you’re the type of person to whom swapping a disc is a grave insult and a waste of your precious Wall Street time, you’ll know to get it on PC or PS3....

Mirror’s Edgewas a case of hit or miss for many. The game received very mixed reviews and sales didn’t seem to be anything worth boasting about.
