Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformedwill be a tough act to follow. Sega’s next arcade racer,Team Sonic Racing, attempts to set itself apart with a more Sonic-focused approach and team-centric mechanics. I spoke about some of this stuffin my E3 preview, but today’s footage helps illustrate that point. Players are encouraged to race cooperatively in several different ways. you may transfer offensive and defensive items to your teammates, trail behind them for a speed boost, and make use of a Team Ultimate after filling a meter mid-race to enter a high-speed state....

‘What Remans’ What Remainsis a fan made live action series based on Naughty Dog’sThe Last of Us. Impressive that this is happening before the game has even released! The series is being made by Manifest Film, and the teaser trailer here is showing off their capabilities and what they’re looking to do.As for the story, it’s set to follow a few human survivors living outside of the safety zone of human colonies....

Last night celebratedTrue Blood‘s highly anticipated return to glorious premium TV service. After the doozy that was last season, I have to admit that last night’s episode was pretty darn entertaining. Maybe I’m just a sucked for TV shows with jaw dropping red head’s playingRock Band, but all-in-all, the show seems to have returned to its raunchy roots! How much do you love your sister? The network was full of bite with Destructoid’s head honcho getting totallyPersona-fied....

Hell yes! Back in October, when Nintendo first announced its upcoming Switch console, I couldn’t help but feel a bit concerned about the prospect of the hardware manufacturer implementing a form of region-restrictions that may impede on a user’s ability to utilise the hardware in a way that best suits them. In fact, I even went so far as to write anopinion piece about why I felt that Nintendo potentially implementing such a feature on the Switch would be a terrible idea....

Titov says sorry in wake of controversy During the holidays,The War Zdeveloper Hammerpoint was sufficiently humbled by the controversy surrounding its game to where producer Sergey Titov finally issued an apology. Admitting his churlish behavior was arrogant, Titov still managed to work in some attempts at damage control — ensuring the complaints came from only a “vocal minority” while bigging up how much the rest of the world loves his game....

Chapter nine Based on this hour-long play session ofThe Evil Within, I’m not expecting to be particularly scared by the game, but I am expecting to die quite a few times. Given its limited checkpoints, the fear of failure and having to replay sections should keep the tension up, though. That’s Bethesda vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines behind the controller. He seemed to take a lot of his frustration out with those stealth head-stabs....

There’s free movement, at least Ubisoft has anotherRaymanin the works for smartphones and tablets. It’s pretty! Almost as pretty asRayman Legendswhich, despite being phenomenal, not enough folks played. This time, players will be able to move freely through the world on their quest to find and save the Incrediballs. Ubisoft Montpellier is callingRayman Adventures“an HD console-quality experience on mobile,” which is… yeah. I like console-quality experiences on consoles, personally. The game is slated for a fall release and will probably sell well enough to keep the series going....

And an exclusive costume This ain’t no trick — things are lookin’ pretty sweet for PlayStation owners that want to do battle with some Grubbins just in time for Halloween. Sony’s announced that it has a temporary console exclusive forCostume Quest 2on PS3 and PS4. It’s set to release on October 28 for $14.99. Accompanying the reveal is the news that the PlayStation versions of the game will feature a unique costume — Sackboy from theLittle Big Planetseries....
