Capcom: Dead Rising 3 looks like an open-world Uncharted

That’s pretty impressive, if true Generally speaking, open-world games tend to suffer a bit in the visual department for the sake of granting freedom to the player. Likewise, some of the most visually astounding titles are typically linear experiences where the developer can dictate exactly what will happen. Capcom Vancouver hopes to blur this line to offer the best of both worlds. According toDead Rising 3‘s executive producer Jason Leigh while speaking toCVG, his team has created a world that feels hand-crafted, and is visually on-par with theUnchartedgames....

Crystal Crisis is worthy replacement for Puzzle Fighter

Long live the new king As somebody who covers plenty of mobile games, I’ve seen my fair share of copycats. When some type of game makes it big, a flood of imitators is not far behind. It’s disheartening to see, but sometimes it’s absolutely necessary. When looking outside of the smartphone market, games that copy or mimic other titles sometimes come into existence because the developers or publishers behind those original products no longer care to support them....

Ctrl Alt Deal has you manipulate human drones as a corporate AI

EA says microtransactions will be in ‘every’ game

According to Electronic Arts’ COO Peter Moore, the future is in free-to-play, with microtransactions becoming the defacto way we buy our interactive entertainment in years to come. According to the cat-like executive, every game will feature bite-sized purchases in some way. “I think, ultimately, those microtransactions will be in every game, but the game itself or the access to the game will be free,” he toldThe Kortakers.“I think there’s an inevitability that happens five years from now, ten years from now, that, let’s call it the client, to use the term, [is free]....

Escape Goat 2 goes Metroidvania with new map system

New details and screenshots for the upcoming PC title While the unique puzzles and platforming featured in the originalEscape Goatmade me a fan, the new map system being introduced inEscape Goat 2immediately had me thinking of the 2D handheldCastlevaniagames. Rooms are now sequentially linked to one another, with certain rooms having multiple exits. You may not be able to access an alternate exit the first time you encounter a room, so the mapping system will allow you to easily backtrack once you acquire whatever it is you need to open the previously inaccessible exit....
