Pokemon Gold and Silver for 3DS codes will be sold in boxes

Uhh sure If you’re European and weren’t going to be satisfied just downloadingPokémon Gold & Silverfrom the Nintendo 3DS eShop on September 22, then you’ll be glad to know there is a physical version coming to Europe as well. Well, sort of. They are shipping shiny boxes with a download code in them. Those boxes look pretty large to just carry a code, and I don’t know imagine an instruction booklet would take up much space either, so what could they be putting in there?...

Preview: The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot

It should go as no surprise that Ubisoft’sThe Mighty Quest for Epic Lootcaught a lot of people by surprise at this year’s E3. A clever combination of two genres that inherently belong together; this lovechild ofDiabloandDungeon Keeperoozed an unwieldy amount of charm in both its design and snarky humor. To think, a brand new IP — from the franchise factory Ubisoft — that blends the hack n’ slash loot whoring fun of a dungeon crawler with the maniacal mischief found in a dungeon defender....

Remember that potential PS5 development kit image? Someone made a 3D render of it

Maybe the PS5? Same tree? Recently, a potential PS5 devkit design was uneartheddue to a design patentfoundby Let’s Go Digital. It’s a wonky space age bit of hardware, but it could very well be the actual kit, and could require that level of ventilation due to the limits that the machine is allegedly going to push (plus, my current PS4 Pro already sounds like a jet engine). Rumors have been flying (especially through Codemasters Matthew Stott, who deleted tweets regarding the hardware) about the kit, but we likely won’t know for sure due to NDAs or the PS5 reveal event....

Review in Progress: Terminator: Resistance

Hey, that guy didn’t pay… Ever since Bethesda’s MS-DOS effort way back in 1990,Terminatoris a franchise that has been revisited time and again by various developers across almost every gaming generation. With its exciting, time-jumping storyline, futuristic weaponry and vehicles, explosive action, and suspenseful sci-fi overtones, theTerminatoruniverse seems custom made for great video game releases. Despite this,Terminatoris a franchise that has often struggled with quality. While theworld and its characters–such as Sarah and John Connor, as well as big Arnie himself–have made repeated appearances in gaming over the past few decades, developers have often struggled to truly nail the franchise’s full potential–though they have come exceptionally close on a number of occasions....

Spirit Trials will be good practice for speedrunning Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Race ghosts in platforming challenges The speedrunning community took a liking toOri and the Blind Forest, and based on how wellOri and the Will of the Wispsisshaping up, I think they’re going to have a lot to dissect in this sequel.
