Version 10.0.4 This past week, the Switch eShop had some issues accepting credit cards: kind of a big problem given that there’s a ton of huge Switch games that have come out recently! Nintendotook to its maintenance pageto announce the issues, and less than a week later they seem to have ironed out the bug. Dubbedhardware version 10.0.4, the update only has one notation: “We have fixed the issue where it was not possible in some countries or regions to add funds using a new credit card or to register credit card information in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch....

Except this trailer WB has unveiled a new trailer for the upcomingMiddle-earth: Shadow of Warand it features all manner of suitably epic establishing shots and slow motion camera panning. It doesn’t show off that much action, or even really tell us what is new with this sequel, but it should get some people hyped up. The game seems to contain massive environments, at least. To further reiterate, the description on the YouTube video confirms thatShadow of Warwill be headed to Project Scorpio (whatever name it ends up taking) and we also have a mention of it coming to the Windows Store for Windows 10 owners....

On May 29 for $299.99 Nintendo is starting to get more aggressive with its marketing forSplatoon— it has just announced a Best Buy-specific bundle for the US for $299.99. It’ll arrive on May 29 when the game ships, and will include a Wii U Deluxe console, the game (as a download code, sadly), andNintendo Landpre-installed on the system. Of course, I assume Best Buy is going to suggestively sell the set ofSplatoonamiibo any chance it gets....

A new strategy Nintendo has peddled plenty of special editions forZelda: Breath of the Wild, including an “Explorer’s Edition” that came with a packed-in guide, and it seemed to work out so well that they’re trying it for two other games. Right now it seems like they’re slated for a September 28 release and only in certain regions, but the company announced this week that they’re going to be doing the exact same thing forMario OdysseyandSplatoon 2, with theBreath of the Wildpack seeing a re-release....

Namco Bandai’s has created an official “enthusiast community” for the upcoming Xbox 360 RPGEternal Sonata, where site members and contributors can earn game-themed prizes. After creating an account and logging in, members ofEndless Nocturnecan submit fan art, answer poll questions, take quizzes and surveys, and to other silly things to earn “Notes.” These Notes serve as a form of currency at the Web site, and members that have collected enough can purchase MP3 players, posters,Eternal SonataXbox 360 face plates, and even signed copies of game art, game soundtracks, and the game itself....

I’m a hard person to please when it comes toMonday Night Combat. After logging countless hours on the XBLA version, playing theSuper MNCbeta at first had been…lacking. A new character every two months SNK has announced the full lineup of extra fighters forSamurai Shodownand it should be a treat for mega-fans. Consisting entirely of veteran characters, the four additional fighters will be released two months apart and look to flesh out the already diverse roster even more. With all this identity theft I am racking up a heap of benefits Due to a class-action lawsuit concerning Sony’s 2011 data breach which led to the theft of names, addresses, and possible credit card data of its 77 million users, the company has agreed to a $15 million preliminary settlement. The security breach took place in April 2011 and shut down the PlayStation Network for several weeks.The company did apologize in May of that year and offered PSN users free games, but some customers did not see this as enough, which brought on the class-action lawsuit....
