I think as a diehardResident Evilfanboy, I avoided everything and anything regardingOperation Raccoon City. Something about the concept didn’t interest me at all and I figured I’d end up avoiding the game altogether when it gets released come March. I did at least want to give the game a shot before completely blowing it off and boy, I’m glad I did.Operation Raccoon Cityis a really great change of pace for the series and I’m all about the focus on fast paced action....

Jeff Minter’sSpace Giraffeis not a very successful Xbox Live Arcade game. That is mainly because it’s not a verygoodXbox Live Arcade game. After the title was outsold by, of all things,Frogger, the game’s creator famously threw a tantrum and said he’d not make anymore games. Of course, that was bollocks. The Llamasoft game isheading to PC, where developer Ivan Zorzin promises that the game might be a bit more “vanilla” this time, toning down the psychedelic and trippy nonsense....

They’re remakingThe Chaos Engine!” That is not quite what’s happening here — this is a “restoration” of the classic top-down co-op title (also known asSoldiers of Fortune), reportsDigital Spy— but that’s not a name you hear frequently mentioned and I’m still excited nonetheless. “We’ve seen dozens of terrible remakes of classic games,” explained producer Neil McKenna at Rezzed....
New episodes Tokyo Twilight Ghost Huntersis a nice little adventure game, and it’s about to get even nicer. Arc System Works has announced that it’s bringing a major update over for every platform — PS3, PS4, and Vita. The update is calledDaybreak Special Gigs, and will offer a “refined battle system,” new episodes, and other improvements. It will hit Japan in November. I never got around to finishing the game, so this update should be the jolt I need provided that it doesn’t require a whole new purchase — which is a possibility....
