I’m the medic! Happy Tuesday, or as M. Bison would say, oh who cares what M. Bison would say, seriously. Is he even relevant anymore? I think not. More like, M. Forgottenaboutbecauseheslame. Anyway, welcome to another edition ofTeam Fortress2sdays, or as we like to call it around these parts, “Shoot your friends in the face on some wacky-ass maps.” Shadow has updated the map list (which you will find below) as well as added “Arena Respawn,” Shadow was nice enough to write it all down in a handy, dandy blog, which you will findright here....

The second U.S. Splatfest goes to the smaller, better team

Team Coasters for life [Art by3D Rod.[ Splatoon‘s second U.S. Splatfest is over, and this time, skill won out over popularity. Afterthe enormous upset that was the Cats Vs. Dogs contest, it’s nice to see superior play (and the superior Squid Sister) come out on top. That’s not to say that Team Water Slides didn’t put up a valiant effort. This was a close game on all counts. In the end, Team Roller Coasters lost the popular vote, with 46% percent of players on their side, but won 53% of the matches, which was enough for them to take the overall victory, with a final score of 152 to 148....

Birth of an ice giant: How monsters are made in Witcher 3

I already want to fight this guy There’s been solid discussion surroundingThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntand, for that matter, open-world role-playing gamesmore generally, but truthfully, I just want to see more of this talked-up game in action. I suppose it is a bit earlier for that, what with marketing plans and all. It’s nice to see that they dropped the belt-covered legs. I see what the team was going for with that design, but as Mielniczuk says, it didn’t make a whole lot of sense even if it visually looked neat....

Brickboy XP: modders strike again

Japanatorhave got conclusive proof that hardware modders are the cackling Dr. Frankenstein of the modern world. A plucky bunch from Japan have taken advantage of the new Hobbit-size Pico-ITX motherboard in order to lube up a 1Ghz PC and stuff it headlong into an original Gameboy. While sadly lacking a high-res Super Mario Land, the little guy can happily run Windows XP and features an ethernet adaptor, VGA out, and two USB sockets....

Comic-Con 08: Captain Obvious noticed there sure are a lot of Halo toys here

Saying that there are a lot of Halo toys at Comic-Con is kind of like remarking that there’s a lot of half-ass cosplayers and inappropriate body odor — if you’ve been, you already know. Still, there is definitely a lot for the Halo fan to choose from at this year’s show, and everyone from McFarlane to Previews had something to show. We also spotted some other figures of interest at the McFarlane booth: both the Guitar Hero figures and the new Call of Duty series were on display, looking mighty fine....

Does Activision still have selling power for Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk?

In your mind, obviously It’s no secret thatI’m aTony Hawkguy. I’d enjoyed nearly every entry in the series outside of the boringProving Groundand the iffyRidesubseries, andthat rumor of a new fully-fledged gamehas me all hot and bothered. I’d easily dive back in to check it out. My history withGuitar Herois a bit more complicated. For the first three titles, I was completely in. I didn’t become aRock Bandfan until the third game, when Activision’s rivalry was losing most of its steam....

Don’t worry, the PlayStation Vita is going to be fine

Woah, Forbes guy. Calm down. In fact, everyone needs to calm down with the doom and gloom for the new PSP successor. It’s a little early to be saying that Sony is in “big trouble” with the PlayStation Vita. Yes, Sony’s new portable did not have a great second week following launch. To be fair, there was nothing good about Vita’s week two and its weak 72,479 units sold. Even the old, tired, and outgoing Wii outsold the Vita that week....
