Good games take time. Fortunately for us, Frictional Games (Amnesia,Penumbra) and thechineseroom (Dear Esther) collaborative follow-up toAmnesia: The Dark Descentis looking to be a good game. So, don’t expect it to come out just yet. Expect an early 2013 release instead.

“The fat just ain’t dripping off the bones yet,” Dan Pinchbeck, creative director of thechineseroom, told Giant Bomb. “But we’ll definitely have more to show in the not too distant future.”

That’s a pretty cryptic and visual way to say, “We are delaying the game” but I wouldn’t expect anything less from this team. Though we won’t be able to soil our pants to the game just yet — don’t worry: there are other methods of achieving this — Pinchbeck hinted that there will be new information on the game soon. That’s nice to hear but this is one of those rare games where I rather not have any of the details of plot, setting, or structure spoiled.
