It’s impressive when someone manages to create a beloved game experience on their own; or at the very least with a small team. Such was the case withStardew Valley, and its developer Eric Barone, also known by the pseudonym “ConcernedApe.” What’s even more impressive than that, though, is how that experience was converted into a highly coveted board game. According toa social media post from ConcernedApe themselves,a new printing ofStardew Valley: The Board Gamewill be available for pre-order on September 5. Units are expected to be shipped in “October” of 2023. ConcernedApe clarified in the replies that each copy will set players back $50 USD, but shipping will be free.

According tothe game’s official website,they will only be shipped to addresses in the US, but select game stores in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the EU, and the UK may have copies available.
Stardew Valley: The Board Gameisa cooperative, multiplayer gamewhereyou and a group of farmers will work together to save the titular valley from the evil Joja Corporation. Players can farm, fish, and acquire resources to make protecting the magical Stardew Valley much easier.

According to the game’s official website,it will take approximately 45 minutes per player to playStardew Valley: The Board Game. The team behind the tabletop edition has emphasized its general challenge level, and “if your game group or family prefers short playtimes (less than 45 minutes) with a small number of rules and components, this game might not be a good fit,” so take from that what you will!
