The curtains have closed on another Awesome Games Done Quick marathon, which delivered an incredible week of speedrunning for a good cause. The final numbers have the fine folks at GDQ racing their way to $2,556,305 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 streamed around the clock from January 5 to 12, wrapping up with a four-playerSuper MetroidMap Randomizer Race. The live event was held in Pittsburgh, PA, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel. There were a ton of impressive speed runs before that, of course, and you owe it to yourself to check some of them out. Some particularly musical highlights include aCrazy Taxispeedrun with an accompanying live concert,Elden Ringwith a saxophone, and aNew Super Mario Bros. Wiirun that had speedrunner Wesbeating the game while playing piano.

Thismatches the total for Summer Games Done Quick 2024, which streamed back in July and raised the same amount for Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans FrontiÚres. This brings the total raised across all Games Done Quick streaming events to over $54 million since 2010.
