That’s good news too, especially for those who want to access some of the mayhem possible at level 12. It means unlocking abilities like Planar Allies, Otto’s Irresistable Dance, and Chain Lightning. Who doesn’t love bouncing, havoc-creating lightning attacks?
Getting access to those sixth-level spells adds a nice arsenal of end-game power to your lineup. It’ll be nice for when you’re battling, say, J.K. Simmons’evil general. I imagine you may’t just Turn Undead him off a cliff or something, anyways.
Larian has also confirmed that players can multi-class, as well asrespec characters, so you can feel free to get really creative with builds and not worry if things don’t work out. It’s nice to alleviate some of that table anxiety as you pore over the handbook, not knowing which spell to slot or branch to take as you approach that level cap.
