Joining countless other adaptations of popular videogames that someone bought the rights to only for us to hear little if nothing else since, theGears of Warmovie is still happening.Varietyreports thatBattleshipandTedproducer Scott Stuber has joined the project.
He’ll be producing this film as well and is said to be starting development on script writing alongside Epic Games. It’s worth noting, however, thatGearsis still very much in the early stages of production and currently has no talent, writer, or distributor.
So go ahead and file this as “Good to know, but I’m going to continue on with my day by finishing this cereal.” I will say that aGears of Warmovie — even a “bad” one — could be enjoyable under the right circumstances. I’m not too picky with my action flicks.
