Retailers have really been stepping up their pre-order game lately. It used to be that plopping down money early for a title meant getting a character skin or some other half-assed, unimportant content. Between the likes ofaccess to the newDoomandinFamous‘ condoms, pre-orders are at least beginning to feel somewhat noteworthy.
However, Best Buy is offering something that’s less of a novelty for those that pre-orderMario Kart 8—gasoline. That’s right, dinosaur juice courtesy of Bowser. These come in the form of a $10 pre-paid card that can be redeemed anywhere that takes Mastercard. So yeah, pretty much everywhere.
Even if you’re not the driving type, it seems as if these cards can be spent on anything, not only gas. I mean, think of all the stuff you could buy with $10! The sky’s the limit! No, seriously — that’s the limit; don’t try buying the sky.
