What is the best build for your MTZ 556 loadout inWarzone? The meta inCall of Duty‘s battle royale is a bit all over the place at the moment. While a few guns are dominating, many more than usual are actually viable options. One is the MTZ 556 assault rifle, not to be confused with the MTZ 762, a battle rifle that performs much differently.
Was the MTZ 556 recently updated?
If the MTZ 556 assault rifle being a viable option inWarzoneseems like it came out of left field, it sort of did. Although the weapon has never truly been bad, there has just always been one or more weapons in its class that clearly outshined it. Now, the AR class is evening out little by little, so this gun’s mobility helps it to stand out.
In the May 1Season 3 Reloaded update, the gun received a few nerfs. However, all of them were for hipfire spread, making it hard to use the MTZ 556 without aiming down the sights. We were never going to hipfire this thing anyway, so those nerfs don’t matter too much.

How to build your MTZ 556 loadout for Warzone
If you’re looking to add the MTZ 556 to your lineup of loadout options inWarzone, there are two ways to build it. Although the gun has very low recoil, some may struggle to hit shots at long range. If that’s the case, use the recommended under barrel attachment. Otherwise, try an optic if you don’t prefer the iron sights the gun comes with. Make sure to try out both versions of the assault rifle in the firing range before jumping into matchmaking to see which you prefer.
This highly versatile build is an excellent option for small map game modes, like Resurgence on Rebirth Island. On the big map, it’ll be much more difficult to use at long range against DG-58 LSWs and Pulemyot 762s. These other guns excel at range and will melt your armor plates and you before the MTZ 556 can do nearly enough damage.
