We didn’t want this news to get lost in the gamescom shuffle. Konami announced today that they will bring a Windows PC version ofCastlevania: Lords of Shadow 2out alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, meaning that it’ll hit shelves in early 2013.

It’s being developed by Mercury Steam and will use their new in-house engine, Mercury Engine 2.

Dave Cox, Producer ofCastlevania: Lords of Shadow 2: “This new game tells a much broader tale and one that spans centuries. It is a game that pushes whatever format it is on to the absolute limit, and we are delighted that its rich blend of first-class fighting, deep exploration and rich storytelling are set to delight and enthrall PC users, too. There’s a darkness coming and with our new game engine, we hope to deliver something truly special across multiple formats that will set new standards for action adventure games.”

Let’s hope they put some work into the PC version so that those with rigs with graphical muscle can make it clap.
