Extreme controls and local multiplayer

We are just about one month exactly from the Nintendo Switch release of the controlled chaos that is Bandai Namco’s excellentDragon Ball FighterZ,which will come crashing onto the Nintendo console September 28.

The publisher has put out a trailer in Japan for the Arc System Works developed tag-fighter, which showcases not all all of the great modes that are being carried over from the PS4, PC and Xbox One release, but also a selection of features exclusive to the hybrid console.

These features include “Extreme Mode” which, for all its ’90s-cool name, is basically a much simpler control system, allowing special and supers to be hit with button-pressing combination, ignoring D-pad commands. Also showcased is the local multiplayer, which allows up to six players to join in the tag-team action, with Joy-Con and screens divvied up between them. Nice.

Dragon Ball FighterZlaunched in January this yearto deserved praise and a very welcoming community, going on to be themost-entered gamein the EVO 2018 tournament. Hopefully the upcoming Switch release will only further theDBFZ’s success.
