Duke Nukemvoice actor Jon St. John has written off negative reviews ofDuke Nukem Foreveras coming from “clueless” critics. These, of course, are the same critics that would have been quoted on press releases had they said anything positive, because you’re only clueless if you’re not sucking a game’s cock.
“I have no comments regarding bad reviews by clueless critics,” he toldTheJoyPads. “They seem to want to compareDuke Nukem ForevertoCall Of Dutyand other FPS’ and they are missing the point. My thoughts about Duke Nukem Forever: It freakin ROCKS! Lots of action, lots of fun, sexy, funny, irreverent… It’s everything I hoped it would be.”

Randy Pitchford went the more passive-aggressive routeon Twitter, using argumentum ad populum to fight inDNF‘s corner: “With sales data, It seems like customers love Duke. I guess sometimes we want greasy hamburgers instead of caviar.”
Sales data is definitely high, as we all knew it would be. But then, Randy himselfalso Tweeted laterthatThe Hangover 2is the highest grossing film of the year so far … which kind of undermines his point that commercial success = quality entertainment.
