Dynasty Warriors 7isn’t due out until next year, but that hasn’t stopped Koei from confirming that downloadable content is already on the cards. Quite what the content will be, we don’t know, but we’re guessing it’ll be a new pair of pants of Zhang Fei.
A few other new details include stereoscopic 3D for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, and confirmation thatDynasty Warriors 7will feature over sixty playable characters. The morale bar of previous games will be gone, but the system will remain behind the scenes, communicated to players instead via officer messages.
Also detailed is the Chronicle Mode, which will be one-shot battles for each officer. The non-faction Warriors such as Lu Bu and Yuan Shao won’t be getting their own story modes, but will have a Chronicle level each. Another new detail is the fact that huge battles will now be split into two parts, offering different character perspectives, and characters will have two musou bars, some of which may be unique aerial attacks.
