At the very tail end ofEA’s press conferencetoday, id’s John Carmack took the stage to give us the first look at their new game,Rage. This title will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Ragewill be the first id title to be published under EA’s new partnership with the company, following the example of other smaller studios like Valve (Orange Box) andHarmonix(Rock Band). This deal will give id the marketing muscle of EA, but will still provide them with the independent freedom they’ve always enjoyed.
We’ll have to wait for QuakeCon to see more of this title, but the trailer is making the rounds now. Earlier today I said it looked to be a cross between horror, action, and racing gaming. What do you think?
