In support of Black Lives Matter

EA Play Live is the latest in a string of delayed events. Originally scheduled forJune 11, EA Play is now set for June 29, 2025, in hopes of supporting and prioritizing “important conversations taking place and important voices being heard around the world right now.” In other words,Black Lives Matter.

EA Play – the event we informally think of as EA’s “E3 conference” even though it’s unaffiliated – will still begin at its previously scheduled time,4:00 p.m. Pacific. It’s just happening one week later.

This postponement followsEA’s $1 million donation and pledge to match fundsin support of the Equal Justice Initiative, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and “more partners to come.”

June has been a chaotic month for video game events and it’s only getting messier by the day. If you marked down any of the many summer-of-no-E3 streams, chances are, your calendar is out of date.
