How to Get a Treasure Map in Fisch

Theonly way to get a Treasure MapinFischis byfishing with a rod. Each time you make acatch(collectingCrab Cagesand openingCrates won’t count as catches), there is a small chance (~1/160) to get a Treasure Map together with whatever you caught. Luck boosts, weather, events, etc., do seem to influence their drop rates, but we’ll need more testing to back up that claim.

How to Fix and Use a Treasure Map

To use aTreasure Map, you’ll first need tofix it to reveal the Y and Z coordinatesof the Treasure Chest. You can do that at theJack Marrow NPC(-2820, 215, 1520) on theForsaken Shorefor C$250. He is located on thetop floorof theskull-shaped caveat the end of the cove.

Know thatif you do not fix the treasure map, thechest will not spawn, and there will be no way to find it. Also, it seems that if youfix a mapand thendisconnect from the server, youwon’t be able to find that treasure anymore.

However, there is a chance that if yourejoin the same server, it’ll still be on themapand claimable. So, if you plan to fix a map, it might be best to join aprivate serverinstead of a random public one.

Now, after you’ve fixed the Treasure Map, you can use theGPS toolto find the exactcoordinatesof the Treasure Chest. You can buy the GPS tool on thechairat theMoosewood PondforC$100.The treasure chest can spawnunderwateras well, so it’s useful to get thediving gearandfloppers, too.

How to Get and Use a Nuke (Nuclear Bomb) in Fisch

Similarly to Treasure Maps, theonly way to get a Nuke(Nuclear Bomb) inFischis byfishing with a rod. It willrandomly appear with the catchwith an extremely low chance (~1/10,000, it seems).

After the catching mini-game, you’ll need tocomplete a skill checkin orderto store it(you can then manually use it later from your inventory). If youfailthe skill check, thenuke will be detonated immediately.

What Does a Nuke Explosion Do?

When aNukeexplodes, it creates anevent areathat lasts forabout 30 minutes, similar to a Shark Hunt. All caught fish in that area will then have theNuclear mutation(x4 value). The Nuclear mutationdoesn’t stack with other common mutationssuch as Atlantean, Mythical, Darkened, etc.

Best Rods and Locations to Get Treasure Maps and Nukes

This still hasn’t been confirmed by theFischdevelopers, butTreasure MapandNuke catch chancesseem to be affected by Aurora Borealisand other Luck Boosts. On the other hand, thelocationwhere you fishdoesn’t matter. So, attempt to fish at whichever spot is currently the best forlevel farmingandmoney making.

Also, collectingCrab Cages andCrates can’t get you a Nuke or a Treasure Map, so the only option is to fish with a rod. Generally, any rod with high Lure Speed will have an advantage when it comes to getting a lot of Nukes and Treasure maps.
