We see you,Halo. Season 2 of Paramount Plus’ video game adaptation received itsofficial trailertoday and looks, dare I say, promising.

Earlier in December,Haloseason 2got a small teaser, which uses some of the shots in the trailer. Alongside the reveal was its release date, February 8th, and aYouTube release of the first season.

According to the YouTube description, inHaloseason 2, “Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo.”

Hello Halo, it’s good to see you again

The trailer shows a lot of action, which was a hit with original audiences. Personally, it does look more like an adaptation of the games than the first season, which I briefly watched. I did spy someone using dual pistols, a famous game mechanic introduced inHalo 2. Of course, we do see Energy Swords, a boat-ton of them, in one shot. There are some promising shots in the trailer, which gets me kind of excited to see this new season.

DespiteHaloreceivingmixed reviews, theviewership was record-breaking for Paramount Plus, easily prompting a season two renewal. Controversially, the show’s first episode had Master Chief take his helmet off (andhe takes off more than just that). He still looks to have his helmet off this time, but it’s not as bothersome as before, personally.

The supporting cast boasts the likes of Charlie Murphy (Happy Valley), Natascha McElhone (The Truman Show), and Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming), just to name a few. So, if you have time to kill, you’re able to watch all the episodes free of chargevia this playlistand finish the fight before February 8.
