Though that’s a great trifecta of games, we must ask whether Sony knows anything more than we do about upcoming real-world events, because that’s quite a bleak list.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
The biggest title of the bunch isCall Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.That’s a pretty big addition to the PlayStation Plus library for July 2023, as it hasn’t even been three years since it came out. Needless to say, its campaign will drag your squad through some made-up but still dark scenes of one of the most tense periods in the history of the modern world.
Though a far cry from the series’ heyday,Cold Waris still a neat addition to the franchise.

Alan Wake Remastered
The second isAlan Wake Remastered, Remedy’s spiritual successor toMax Paynefrom 2010.Though not as violent as Remedy’s Nu Noir action masterpiece,Alan Wakeis far from a walk in the park. It draws inspiration from the stories ofStephen King,so expect things to get pretty dark and wicked.
Though it forces players to read pages upon pages of expository dialogue if they want to understand the plot—a red flag in a game about a storyteller if there ever was one—and despite featuring some combat mechanics that will feel old by the end of the game, it’s still worth checking out. That’s especially true if you’re interested in theupcoming sequel.

Endling – Extinction is Forever
The third game isEndling – Extinction is Forever, whose name alone immediately makes them the bleakest of the bunch. Woah. What is this all about?
Oh, it’s actually a side-scroller about cute innocent foxes. No way that’ll turn darkveryearly on.

As with all PlayStation Plus titles, remember the deal: You don’t lose the games if you happen to cancel your subscription, but you’ll only get to play them at a time when your subscription is active.
Sony has also announced a newSpotify playlistcomposed of PlayStation Plus game-inspired songs. The company will be updating the list every month from now on. It’s definitely worth checking out.
