And potentially much more, at this rate

As I wrote before, Heart Machine’s 2D action-RPGHyper Light Drifterhas left quite the impression on me, and that’s not changed. What has changed is the game’s Kickstarter campaign, which doesn’t show signs of slowing down. The game is now confirmed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita — certainly one of the more desirable stretch goals.

With a $10 pledge, you’ll getHyper Light Drifterfor Windows, Mac, or Linux; $15 or higher opens up PS4 or Vita as an option. A new set of rewards, some of which are still a mystery, have been added to thefunding campaign. Designer Alex Preston says that further goals will be added “as they get smashed,” but he ideally wants “to keep the team under 10, so as to be able to manage the vision properly; I’m avoiding overloading the development process.”

When asked about other platforms (Vita TV, Xbox One, Wii U, etc.), Preston said “I’m absolutely shooting for Vita TV as I think it’s virtually the same hardware as a standard Vita. I would love to release on as many platforms as possible, but still have to assess all of the (huge) costs behind that kind of thing. For now Sony has been the easiest to work with.”

There’s now a Steam Greenlight page forHyper Light Drifteras well.Upvote away!
