Hell freezes over
NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the final character forMortal Kombat 11and it’s a joyous moment for fans of Sub-Zero’s protege. Frost, first introduced inMortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, will be unlockable through Story Mode progression and she looks neat. Taking on the role of this game’s Cyber Lin Kuei assassin, her new form sees her utilizing a bunch of familiar robotic moves and funky attacks. I’m very fond of her head flying off as an aerial counter.
With Frost finally announced, we have the full roster forMK11and I’m pretty pleased. It’s not the most shocking thing around, but a lot of mainstays are here and returning characters fromMortal Kombat Xhave been given quite an overhaul. It feels like the best of both worlds, with old and new being represented in selection and cosmetics. If you don’t want robotic Frost, for instance, you can just modify her to look like herDeadly Allianceself.
Now we’ll just need to wait and see if thoseDLC rumorsare true. If so,MK11could end up having the best roster of the series.
