Full reveal happening this month at the Xbox event

If nothing else, the teasers forCall of Duty: Ghostsleft almost as quickly as they arrived. Although we now have the official word on this Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next-generation title from Infinity Ward, there are still plenty of unanswered questions. Offering little in the way of actual details, the announcement describesGhostsas having an “all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next generationCall of Dutyengine.” It’s launching on Jul 11, 2025.

For what it’s worth, I like the sound of that last part; finally, a new engine. Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin has referred toGhostsas “a new sub-brand,” saying: “Everyone was expecting us to makeModern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do. But we’re not resting on our laurels.”
