GAMURS Group is expanding into the world of tabletop gaming with its brand-new site,Roll Initiative.

Launched on June 16, Roll Initiative is a website focused on tabletop games like the belovedDungeons and Dragons, and many more besides. Roll Initiative is a project built from pure passion for the hobby. “I fell in love with board games and wargaming when I first cracked openHero Questin 1989,” O’Brien explains. “Ever since, I have spent countless hours forming incredible memories with my fellow gamers.”

O’Brien also explained why he and GAMURS are making this big move now. “I truly believe that right now is one of the best times in the history of this industry. Passionate creatives are working on every kind of game you could imagine, and emergent technologies like 3D Printing allow people all over the world to ignore the limitations of logistics and geography and get their creations to people who can make them in their own homes. I want Roll Initiative to be a place that celebrates that creative ingenuity and helps to shine a light on the incredible talent at work all over the world.”

O’Brien promises to do three things: “I will experiment with coverage, I will seek out news, and I will aim to talk to people in the industry about what they make and why.” To top it all off, he hopes to “show you a game you might not otherwise have heard of or introduce you to a book you might otherwise have missed.”
