InZOIcould be the next big entrant in the world of life sim video game titles, but there’s not much luck for those who game on their consoles.
The hyped release is scheduled for a global releaseon March 28, and it will be available via Steam. Naturally, many gamers have been wondering about KRAFTON releasing the game on consoles (at least on the current-gen machines). Unfortunately, console users will have to be patient asInZOIwill not launch on either Xbox or PlayStation consoles.
Why is InZOI unavailable at launch on consoles?
InZOIis not the first title that will be released exclusively on PC, and it largely has to do with its early-access nature. Early-access games are typically released on Steam as developers continue to work in tandem with the players. In fact, a lot of AAA titles, likeBaldur’s Gate 3, weren’t released on consoles till it was under early access. The console release for Larian’s smash hit happened only after we got a full launch on PC.
InZOIis almost certain to follow the same path, and its console debut is not happening anytime soon.
Will InZOI release on consoles?
If the developers are to be believed,InZOIis eventually going to make its way to PlayStation and Xbox. The screenshot posted here is from the game’s official Discord, and there are plans to get a console release eventually in the future.
An exact date hasn’t been announced, and the game’s early access is expected to last for at least a year if not more. If we do end up getting a console release, I predict it to happen at the end of the first quarter in 2026. A lot of early access states often extend, so mid-2026 is a more realistic release date.
For the time being, there’s not much option for console users if they want to playInZOI. It’s the same thing withSchedule 1, which is turning out to be a surprise hit with PC gamers.
