With the several announcements we have gotten at the Game Awards, it was all just a lot to take in. From the many awards, celebrity appearances, and world premieres, there’s one game that matched hype levels to that of Monster Hunter Wilds at the end—Marvel’s Blade. Given that we know just a little about the game, isMarvel’s Bladegoing to be an Xbox exclusive? Here’s what we know.

IsMarvel’s Bladean Xbox exclusive?

At the time of the first teaser of the game coming out,we do not knowif it’ll be an Xbox exclusive just yet. No platforms have been announced forMarvel’s Bladeas of this writing.

With Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax back in 2021 and push for more exclusivity for their console platform, it’s looking highly likely that this game will be an Xbox exclusive.

We have already seen past titles under Arkane Lyon likeRedfallthat ended up being an Xbox exclusive post-acquisition. The argument can be made thatMarvel’s Blademight be a multi-platform title sinceDeathloopwas a PlayStation 5 exclusive despite being under a Microsoft-owned studio at the time. However, that was something already set in stone before Microsoft’s finalized purchase of ZeniMax.

Should this be the case, Xbox games are also released on PC. If you’re really worried that this is going to be a Microsoft-secured IP, your best bet is to have a decent PC that can run newer games. Even ifMarvel’s Bladehas a high likelihood of not coming to Sony’s console platform, you’ll still be able to have somewhere else guaranteed to play it.

Is Marvel’s Blade going to be on Xbox Game Pass?

Given that this is now under the Bethesda umbrella, it’s likely that this will be on Xbox Game Pass. Even if this is Marvel’s intellectual property, every game now under Bethesda tends to receive the Day-One treatment, like big hitters such asStarfield.
