Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney — Dual Destiniesis out and it’s fantastic. Along withGuilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, it’s the best transition from sprite based graphics to polygons that I’ve seen yet. All the body language, exaggeration, and special frame-by-frame feeling that you loved in prior 2D games is back, combined with a smoothness and clarity that’s more easily achieved with 3D models. We can only hope the nextPokemongame looks this good.
While some of the voice acting in this trailer is a little stilted, there’s no arguing that the writing is packed with charm. “Analytical Psychology is going to revolutionize this stodgy institution!” If I ever get to yell that in a court room, I will die a happy man. In the meantime, I’ll keep working on my Athena Cykes cosplay and hope for the best.
