New Game+ is back on
The tentatively titled dungeon-crawler “New Game+” fromLone Survivordesigner Jasper Byrne sounded pretty damn excellent. Described as something akin to “ZeldaxDemon’s Souls,” it looked appealing even early on in development. As such, it was heartbreaking to seethe game get canceleddue in part to its ambitious nature.
I couldn’t retweet Byrne fast enoughwhen he wrote“F*ck it, I might as well just say it: I’m working on New Game+ again.” He followed up with a few more tweets, saying: “I can’t guarantee it’s going to work out and get finished, but for now I’m gonna give it my best shot.”
The title will also now support cooperative play and a deathmatch for up to four players. “I really wanna make this a game that people want to play together in the same room,” Byrne explained. Welp, that’s my day made.
