Coming to PS4, PS3, PC in December
Koei Tecmo is all about that grand strategy right now, revealing a newRomance of the Three Kingdomsgame following yesterday’s announcement that the latestNobunaga’s Ambitionis coming west in September.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIIIwas unveiled today during a 30th anniversary event at the company’s Yokokama offices. The new project will debut in Japan on December 10 for PlayStation 4, PS3, and PC.
As per usual, the publisher made no mention regarding a potential international release. The last time the series made an appearance outside Japan was with 2007’sRomance of the Three Kingdoms XI.
Romance of the Three Kingdomsis a series of strategy games based on Luo Guanzhong’s historical novel, which chronicles the fall of ancient China’s Han dynasty, the civil war, and subsequent reunification. It’s also the basis for theDynasty Warriorsseries — a curious case of a spinoff overshadowing its source material.
