Last Epochis rapidly approaching its 1.0 release date, slated for February 21, and the developer Eleventh Hour Games is revealing more and more information about it. The game’s been in Early Access since April 2019, and 1.0 marks a huge step forward with loads of new gear.
As per Eleventh Hour Games’ recentitemization blog post on Steam,Last Epoch‘s already substantial roster of items will be substantially expanded upon on February 21. Broadly, players can look forward to new armor, weapons, Unique-rarity gear, item affixes, and Armor Sets, which should make things very interesting both in the early and late game progression stages. What’s particularly exciting is that some of the new Uniques alter certain classes’ skills in meaningful ways, suggesting some very promising synergies.

Last Epoch’s new 1.0 items, affixes, and more
As outlined by Eleventh Hour Games, the studio aims to expand the full range of basic gear that players can find inLast Epochwith the game’s 1.0 launch, and the full roster of new gear includes:
As these are all “base” items, they don’t come with any affixes attached by default. That said, each does come with a particular set of stats. For example, the Coven Robes body armor has a penchant for rolling armor, cast speed, and mana regen boosts, which makes it the go-to set for caster-type characters.

Affixes are, perhaps, the more exciting bit. With 33 all-new affixes coming toLast Epochon February 21, the game’s entire (already substantial) loot pool will be far more interesting to toy around with, whether you’re a newcomer or one of the many Early Access veterans.
Finally, there are the new Unique items, such as the Sigeon’s Reprisal Bandit Shield, as shown in the featured image. Eleventh Hour Games has shown off 5 new Uniques, the most exciting of which is the Spine of Malatros Warlock sword. This sword visually alters the Warlock’s Chthonic Fissure spell to turn its Spirits into Flame Whips, building upon the class ability in a way that goes above and beyond most items.

Last Epoch‘s itemization should, therefore, be much more interesting after 1.0 drops. The Early Access build of the game already has a massive library of loot to grind for, and the novelties shown the recent developer blog promise to improve it further still. If you still have some questions about the game’s itemization or, indeed, aboutLast Epochin general, consider jumping intoEleventh Hour Games’ upcoming Reddit AMA.
Do keep in mind thatLast Epochwill be going offline for 24 hoursahead of its 1.0 release, too. This round of planned maintenance will prepare the game for its most important update yet, and should help smoothen things out asLast Epochgoes live anew.
