I have to admit that Pandemic’sLord of the Rings: Conquestis one of those games that is completely and totally off my radar. Sowhen I found outlast weekendthat a demo for the game was available on PlayStation Network, I was really surprised. Why didn’t I know about this? Isn’t it my job to know this crap?

Well, now that same demo is available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and I’m totally in the loop, thanks toMr. Professor Major Sergeant Larry Hyrb Nelson. The demo is available in all regions and is “free” provided you have an Xbox LIVE Gold account. So I guess that means, technically, it’s nottotallyfree. But you get the idea.

Lord of the Rings: Conquesttakes the Tolkien mythos and dumps it into a Battlefront-like world of team-on-team multiplayer combat. The pictures of the game are pretty, but may not tell the whole story, so I’m interested in getting my hands dirty with the demo.

Let us know if you want to play, and we’ll try to get a few Dtoid staff members on board for a quick game this afternoon. We’ll take any excuse to stop writing about games so we can play them. Hit us up in the comments so we can figure it out.
