This $29.99 boxed copy includes an exclusive “Steed of the Horse-lords” mount, the “Path of the Fellowship” quest pack, and 2,000 Turbine points. Buying each of those items from theLotROstore would cost over $50. It’s a pretty sweet-looking package if you are looking to join in.
The game isstill free to play, and in my opinion, it’s a better MMO thanWorld of Warcraft.WoWis constantly becoming more and more streamlined, which in a lot of ways is good, but it lacks that classic vibe.Lord of the Rings Onlinestreamlines certain things while still feeling more like an old-school MMO.
It kind of sucks that this package is only available at GameStop, but it’s still a good deal on some nice content. Hopefully it being in stores will help raise awareness and get more folks to try it out.
