Luc Bernard has released the world’s first gameplay video for his upcoming iPhone gameMecho Wars. Well, itclaimsto be a gameplay video, but the first few minutes of footage is just Bernard talking about a girl he kissed. He manages to go for over four minutes before showing anything, but eventually some gameplay happens and it looks … not too terrible.
The game is very clearly taking all its cues fromAdvance Wars, but perhaps being more derivative and less original will work in Bernard’s favor. The graphics are a work in progress, so hopefully the action, especially in the battle scenes, will step up a little before the game is released. Luc’s impressive visual style is as good as always.
