I have a fantastic way to waste a few minutes of your afternoon. Newgrounds has a game based on one of the greatest films of all time,Tremors.
The game,Tremerz, has you playing as Valentine McKee, trying to save the residents of Perfection from the Graboids. Moving with the mouse and jumping on a click, you have to gather five of the other characters one at a time, avoiding increasingly complex Graboid attacks with each one you get to join up with you. If a Graboid hits a character, they die, and if Val takes a hit it’s all over.
It’s so perfect too, because of how utterly cheerful it is at all times. You have to go and give this a try. It’s probably going to distract me the rest of the day.
