As I mentioned a few days ago, I don’t know jack about shoot-’em-ups apart from you usually fly in one direction and shoot lots of stuff. WithHeaven Variantincoming later this year, PC gamers don’t have to wait long for some shmup action asOrbitron: Revolutionhas arrived.

Obritron: Revolutionwas initially released on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel last year but it’s now been ported to PC and is available onGamersGate for $4.99/£2.99which looks to be a steal. The game still retains it’s three game modes but it’s been enhanced to support resolutions of up to 1900×1200.

Our ownJordan Devore pickedOrbitron Revolutionas one of the better games he’s played on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel recently, and whilst that may seem like faint praise, the game looks way more advanced than a lot of the rubbish you can find on there.
