I didn’t even know there was a non-anime Pokemon show!
Afterit was announced last month, we’ve all been really excited to see what new features will be coming in the upcomingPokemon SunandMoon. Omega RubyandAlpha Sapphireare fantastic, so where does the series go from there?
It looks like we’ll be finding out some of that this Sunday, April 3, when series director Junichi Masuda, battle director Shigeki Morimoto andORASdirector Shigeru Ohmori make appearances on the JapanesePokemon-themed TV show ‘Gathering at thePokemonHouse’.
According toSerebii.net, they will be on the show to discuss and show off the first video footage of “the new games”. This almost definitely is referring toSunandMoon, but that hasn’t been explicitly said just yet. It’d be a bummer if we getPokemon Trozei! 3or something instead…
I’m personally most excited about Shigeru Ohmori’s role inSunandMoon’sdevelopment.ORASwere the first games he was the director on, and I’d argue they’re the bestPokemongames yet. They made so many quality-of-life improvements overXandY, while also featuring some really cool side stories not seen in the originalRubyandSapphire.If his appearance on the TV show is a sign he’s also directingSunandMoon, then I’m convinced we’ll be seeing some great stuff from the new generation.
