Did Capcom just tip its hand? It seems like a remastered version ofResident Evil Zeromight be in the cards. Capcom recently updated the Japanese website for theResident EvilHD remaster to display a pre-order theme featuring a PlayStation 4 menu icon that looks an awful lot likeResident Evil Zero. It makes sense, given Capcom just went through the trouble of sprucing up theResident Evil.So this seems like the logical next step for the publisher....

United Label and Odd Bug Studiohave announcedthatTails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, the sequel to their 2021 action-RPG, will be released in February 2025 for PC and consoles. This is technically a delay from their planned 2024 release, but only slightly. For some reason, rodents make the best fantasy protagonists, as proven byRedwallandGhost of a Tale. I’ll still blame the lag NetherRealm is taking another stab atMortal Kombat X‘s online performance. After listening to player feedback, the team is changing the way the game works online, switching from a “dynamic input latency model” to a roll-back system that (hopefully) more closely mimics the offline experience. It isn’t exactly the much beloved GGPO system, but community specialist Tyler Landsdown specifically compared the two. The system is going to be tested in a closed beta starting in the near future....

Divekick, Deadly Premonition, A Hat in Time, and more Recently, Valve admitted that the Greenlight process is “not perfect by any stretch of the imagination,” but the company is still going forward with it, announcing fourteen games and two pieces of software for the service. Most of the titles are particularly notable indie projects, includingA Hat in Time,Among the Sleep,Chasm,Deadly Premonition: the Director’s Cut, andDivekick. Now that these titles have met Valve’s slightly vague set of criteria, we can expect to see them up on Steam in the coming weeks and months, as each developer sees fit....

Turns out, quite well indeed With the recentHumble Indie Bundle 11 finished, Pocketwatch Games has postedan interesting postmortemabout how well its gameMonaco: What’s Yours is Minesold as part of the bundle. There were 493,816 bundles sold generating $2,323,681 in revenue which was split between the developers, charities, and the Humble Bundle folk. Andy Schatz at Poketwatch notes that whilst there were plenty of bundles sold, not all buyers beat the average price to unlock the additional games likeMonacoandAntichamber....

From Nintendrew At this point Nintendo is pretty much obligated to make “mini” versions of all of their systems. They’ve checked off the NES and SNES boxes so far, and next up is the Nintendo 64. I wouldn’t mind a Game Boy/Color mixture piece of hardware or a GBA at some point either, but for now all signs point to the N64 Mini coming out at some point. Either way Nintendrew managed to skip a generation and just craft a GameCube Mini of his own....

Based on graphic novel series Last year Sony announced that original programming would be coming to the PS4 and the PlayStation Network, and now we know what the first show will be. Sony has revealed their first “original” series that’s based on an existing comic property —Powers. The show will deal with how a world with superheroes would “really be,” if it was a bit more realistic. It’s in production now, and casting is underway....

The fact thatWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2has turned out to bewildly successfuldoesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, as it waspretty darned awesome. The bit that might be surprising, instead, is that Saber Interactive may be working on even more content than we know of. This information comes from an impromptu Q&A held by the game’s creative director, Oliver Hollis-Leick,over on Twitter. According to him, there absolutelywillbe narrative additions toSpace Marine 2, whereas up until now we only really knew about what was coming as part of the game’s first year of post-launch content....

The publisher haslaunched a new domainthat is teasing the reveal ofPrinny Presents NIS Classics Vol 2, an assumed follow-up to last week’s compendium of NIS rereleases. The simple site features a cute 3D model of studio mascot andDisgaeacharacter Prinny doing a delightful pirouette while asking the viewer to return in a manner of days (which is set to five as of this writing)....
