Crawly Games has announced that their deckbuilder horror game,Draft of Darkness, is leavingSteam Early Accessand going full version on June 18, 2025. If you’ve never heard ofDraft of Darkness, just look at it. It’s like ifPit-Fighterhad a personality beyond just “oiled beef.” It has grainy, digitized actors fighting with grainy, unspeakable horrors in rusty lo-fi locales. It has just the right mixture of goofy and sleaze that makes it seem like a lost PS1 game from the creators ofChiller....

All Saints’ Wake is the annual celebration of ghosts, ghouls, and all things spooktacular within Eorzea, and the city states will be decked out with pumpkins, ghosties, and of course, costumed players. This year’s All Saints’ Wake is dubbed “The Feast of Thanks for the Foulest Fiends”, and as always, the festivities will begin in Gridania at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre....

They still have the Hitman rights After Square Enix announced that it was dropping subsidiary IO Interactive, all eyes were on theHitmanseries. Sure IO has done a few extra projects in the past likeMini Ninjas(funnily enough I was playing this on PC yesterday) and theKane & Lynchseries, butHitmanis their bread and butter, and it could have been lost to the nether forever. Thankfully, Square Enix has seemingly worked with IO to release them without too much difficulty, as they’re now an independent studio and have retained the rights to theHitmanIP by way of a buyout....

Many times, videogames are forgotten for fairly logical reasons. Among those are the games of the past that are left behind due to their intentionally childish content. As the main demographic of gamers grow older, it is only natural that titles likeBarney’s Hide and Seek Game(which is admittedly a bad example, as I did not enjoy the game even as a child) can not and do not hold up. This is simply because most of us no longer want or need games that teach us basic education, have giant, friendly looking sprites, or holds our hands through the process....
