Here’s a quick Pokémon Scarlet and Violet story recap, just in time for The Teal Mask

The Teal Mask forPokemon ScarletandVioletis out now, as the first DLC for this generation of Pokémon. It might have been a while since you last ventured into Paldea, so Nintendo has released astory recapto get you up to speed ahead of thePokémonDLC. To be frank, it’s not an incredibly in-depth story recap. Those who are a little spoiler-averse should be fine watching it, as it mostly goes over the broad strokes ofPokémon ScarletandViolet, rather than any late-game revelations....

Here’s everything that happened at Nintendo’s E3 Direct

Some new, some old Nintendo showed a ton of games today. In fact, all they practically showed is games outside ofa brief Miiverse update. I expected Nintendo to give alittlemore of a third party push thanBayonetta 2, but the console is still young, and there’s time to show off more projects in due time....

James Bond 007: Blood Stone trailer shakes and stirs

Yesterday was one of the worst days in my career as Weekend Editor here at Destructoid. I don’t write on weekdays, which usually doesn’t bother me much, but all of a sudden James Bond news starts flying out from everywhere and I couldn’t write a single post on it. See, I am a major, major Bond fan, and I had to sit helplessly as a new game was announced and I didn’t get to write about it....

At ease for this slick strain Sega is still knocking out the character music videos for its upcoming RPGProject Sakura Wars.Following on from musical numbers for stars such asLancelot,Elise,AzamiandSakura herself, this new video looks at new character Anastasia Palma. Microsoft gave up on VR for Xbox One

Probably a good call With high-end virtual reality headsets coming to PC and PlayStation 4 over the past couple years, the common presumption was that Xbox was just waiting for the right opportunity to enter the market. Xbox leaders even suggested as much whendescribing the potential of the Xbox One Xback when it was still Project Scorpio. And, thatpartnership between Oculus and Microsoftwas always a strong indication that the Rift might be a VR platform that could be adapted to run on an Xbox....

Yatta? A few good nuggets of info came out of the official Q&A of Nintendo’s most recent corporate management policy briefing today. Most notably, the fact thatalthough sales of the 3DS have slowed, the company will truck on with both the 3DS and the Switch at this time. Oh, and they’re working overtime improving their Switch Online program. After recalling that Switch Online hadexceeded eight million accounts(the publisher declined to break down exactly how that shakes out with specifics), current Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa notes that “it is critical that these members continue using the service for a long time rather than letting it expire,” essentially saying that the company needs to step up their game to keep retention high....
