Bandai Namco is reportedly cancelling projects featuring Naruto and One Piece amidst alleged ‘layoffs’

All is not well at Bandai Namco as the Japanese Studio is reportedly canceling projects involving IPs related to Naruto and One Piece licenses amidst layoffs. The reports of cancelations come right after the global success ofDragon Ball Sparking Zero, which has managed to meet fan expectations. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about several other games, some of which might have been under development. Asreported by Bloomberg, the Japanese studio is also facing a wave of fresh “layoffs,” and over 100 people might have already resigned....

Camp Pokemon, that kid-friendly iOS app, gets an update

For kids…right ::shifty eyes:: If you have kids and you want them to chill out for a while, you can try handing them a tablet withCamp Pokemonon it. It’s basically an iOS app with various Pokemon-related activities on it, and as of yesterday, it just added in some new games, mostly related to matching (which I am terrible at). More importantly though, the Chromecast device can now run Pokemon TV. Yeah, I totally haven’t watched a ton of classic Pokemon shows on that app…totally....

Cortana and the Chief appear in these Halo 4 screenshots

As seen on All Games Beta, a fair amount ofHalo 4media — including screenshots, character renders, and concept art — has been floating around the Internet. I had hoped our residentHalofanboy Hamza would be the one to bring enthusiastic coverage of this stuff, but he’s a jerk. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that this latest installment is easy on the eyes. Maybe it’s the range of colors used, maybe it’s some other quality; for whatever reason, theHaloseries has always looked pretty good in still images....

Look upon it and despair … in a good way! Some concept art forDark Souls IIhas appeared online, and while some fans may be worried aboutthe game becoming more“accessible,” they can at least be assured that the beautifully bleak visual style of the series shall remain preserved — at least if this art is an indication. Domizuin Shrine location and solution for Tears of the Kingdom (Totk)

Taking Link back to the 80s Domizuin Shrine is the type of shrine that, if you get confused, you can ruin the whole thing and need to start over. Dying Light’s Nightmare mode looks like a treat

No Easter egg weapons, longer nights, tougher zombies, and less survivor’s sense. Sound like fun? No? Well, I guess that is kind of the point ofDying Light‘s Nightmare mode, part of the upcomingEnhanced EditionDLC. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to pony up the money for the DLC to “enjoy” the extra brutal difficulty level if you don’t want to, as our resident tall, dark, and spookyZack Furniss has already reported....

E3 10: Floaty hands-on clips of Kinect with Forza

One of the weirdest examples of Kinect being used was withForza. You know, looking around, wandering around a car to see all of the little details. Which is interesting, because that very gimmick is used by Atari’s upcomingTest Drive Unlimited 2. However, if you watch the videos above, you’re able to see that Kinect has left its…touch…on the game in more than looking at cars. Even racing can be controlled with two fist held high, leaning forward and back....

Electronic Arts couldn’t have asked fora better enemy in Zynga. The social game kingpin is not only in financial trouble, it’s also one of the most despised companies in the industry. EA must realize this, and has started sucking up to a game community that’s not been too fond ofeitherpublisher. “Last week I posted a note to explain why I felt the need to pursue legal action against Zynga for their blatant copying ofThe Sims Social....
