I’m a hard person to please when it comes toMonday Night Combat. After logging countless hours on the XBLA version, playing theSuper MNCbeta at first had been…lacking. However, after my hands-on session at PAX East just a few hours ago, I can confidently say thatSuper MNChas won its way into my heart.

The folks at Uber have examined loads of feedback from their hardcore players and have been making rapid additions to the beta on a weekly basis – 31 patches in total. One of these additions includes a new Pro, Leo Da Vinci – a classic archetype with aMNCtwist. He’s equipped with segwaying skates, a prism beam that can heal multiple team members, and a crossbow. Leo also rocks his own turrets and an ability to take over enemy bots to detonate them at will. Pretty badass character in my book.

For those fans (like myself) who really enjoyed the tower-defense aspect of the Blitz arena inMNC, you’ll be happy to know that it’s coming back, but with a new name: Danger Zone. In sadder news, Mickey Cantor will not be coming back forSuper MNC, however there will be two new announcers: GG Stack and Chip Valvano, who will focus on highlighting plays, deaths, tips, and overall hilarious banter during the game.

There’s also a possibility of another new character to be added soon, as well as an all-new map and more taunts, weapons, and skins. The beta is still invitation-only, but they’re looking to open it up to the public within the next month or so. For now, check out this all-new and exclusiveSuper MNCGame Overview.
