The cross-media TV and gaming gamble paid off for Remedy and Microsoft, as they have just reported thatQuantum Breakis the “best-selling new Microsoft Studios IP of this generation.” Initially the game was selling like crazy over in the UK in physical form, but the success was later trumpeted by Microsoft as being a worldwide phenomenon.
Good on Shawn Ashmore too, honestly. Although he’s often criticized as Ice Man from theX-Menfilms, he’s been working his way up over the years, and I enjoyed him in the flawed Kevin Bacon vehicleThe Following. Always nice to seeThe Wirealums Lance Reddick and Aidan Gillen get work too.
