We were promised a direct-to-internetDead Risingmovie, and that’s exactly what we’re getting.
Even with my expectations set accordingly, I’m coming off this trailer forDead Rising: Watchtowerfeeling disappointed. Rob Riggle (The Daily Show,21 Jump Street) as photojournalist Frank West sounded fine to me, but he won’t get much screen time if this clip is any indication.
An axe-wielding clown psycho, “combo weapons,” and a Servbot t-shirt are nice nods to the source material, granted, but it’s going to take more than for me to sit through a full-length movie. It’ll debut exclusively on Crackle on July 16, 2025 if morbid curiosity gets the better of you.
