Metal Gear Hyrule

Sinatanika Shrine is part of the Combat Training genre of shrines inTears of the Kingdom. While some of the Combat Training shrines are simple to complete, others, like Sinatanika, pose much more of a challenge. We’ve covered everything you need to know to beat Sinatanika Shrine below. But first, let’s take a look at how to find it.

How to find Sinatanika Shrine inTears of the Kingdom

Sinatanika Shrine is located in the Akkala Highlands region of Hyrule. The shrine can be found at the foot of Ulri Mountain, where the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower fast travel point is. Unsurprisingly, that makes Ulri Mountain Tower the closest fast travel point to Sinatanika Shrine. When you arrive at the tower, use it to glide northeast toward Octorok Lake. You should be able to see the shrine from the air, and getting to it in a single glide is a breeze. The shrine is located roughly halfway between the tower and the lake. How to complete Sinatanika Shrine

Sinatanika Shrine, as mentioned above, is part of the Combat Training shrine series. To complete Sinatanika, you will need to defeat the enemies inside with sneak attacks. No other damage or attack types will count. To do this, you’re going to need to make Link as quiet as possible. This can be achieved via a few methods.

To start, remove any armor that makes excessive noise. When I entered the shrine, I was wearing soldier’s metal armor that was far too loud for the job at hand. Another useful trick is to equip a weapon such as a spear or a halberd that has superior reach to a shorter weapon like a sword. This will allow you to sneak attack from slightly further back. Finally, I also used a sneaky elixir to give myself an extra edge. If you have one spare, it’s well worth using to complete the shrine quicker. Every time you get spotted by the construct, you will fail and be sent back to the start.

For the first construct, it will only look to the left and right. That means you need to sneak around to the back of the structure and come at it from the rear. Pay attention to its movement pattern to avoid getting spotted, and keep an eye on your purple sound level at the bottom right of the screen. You want to keep the sound line as flat as possible to avoid detection. Crouching by pressing the left stick greatly minimizes the sound that Link makes. Note the flatness of the purple line at the bottom right of the screenshot above. Combine all of the methods above together, and Link will be very difficult to detect.

Use sneakstrike on the construct when standing behind it to reach the next stage.

The next construct is significantly more difficult to get the jump on. This one is patrolling the arena instead of remaining in place. It will make its way around the edge of the arena from corner to corner. Find a spot on the left or right side of the arena and watch as the construct makes its way around. When it comes to your side, stay still so as not to alert it. You may want to watch the patrol pattern of the construct for a couple of laps to get a good idea of its movements.

It will head to a corner, look left and right a few times and then go to the next corner and repeat. You want to follow the construct as it walks away from the side you are waiting at. Be ready, as it moves fairly quickly, and you can’t afford to have Link run. Otherwise, you will be found. When you’ve identified your moment, follow the construct as it moves to the opposite side. When it stops, you will be able to catch up to it and use sneakstrike once again. If you’re successful, the shrine exit will open.
