Revisit the classic game in your browser or app
April Fools’ Day wouldn’t be complete without a cute little time-waster of a game from Google, and this year, we can play a rendition ofSnakedirectly inside the Google Maps app on iOS and Android.
You can accessSnakeright in your browseror find it in Google Maps by clicking the three-line icon on the top left of the app near the search bar. If you don’t see it listed, you may need to update.
In this version ofSnake, you control a train across pixelated real-world locations like London, Cairo, and Tokyo, and the more people and landmarks you pick up, the longer your train grows until hubris brings you down. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it’s a fun distraction on this unholiest of days.
