Assassin’s Creed gets 9th nomination
The Witcher 3: Wild Huntis an unstoppable, award-winning machine. While it failed to take home the industry’s top prize, the Destructoid Game of the Year Award, it has secured victories from other, lesser organizations such as The Game Awards, the Golden Joystick Awards, and the Sex On Top Of Mythical Creatures Awards. Just a few days ago it received four nominations for theGame Developers Choice Awards, and on Monday another prestigious group shortlisted the game for its annual awards show.
The Witcher 3is one of four games that scored a nomination from the Writers Guild of America. It’s up for Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing alongsideAssassin’s Creed Syndicate,Pillars of EternityandRise of the Tomb Raider. Better luck next year,I Am Bread.

None of the nominated titles are strangers to the award.Pillars‘ developer Obsidian Entertainment was previously nominated forFallout: New Vegas. TheTomb Raiderfranchise was nominated back in 2009 forUnderworldwhen it lost toStar Wars: The Force Unleashed. The originalWitcherwas among the first batch of nominees for this award, losing toDead Head Fred. Finally,Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s nomination represents the ninth for the series, a pretty amazing feat considering the award has only been given out since 2008.
