Call of Duty: Warzonehad its fifth anniversary on July 07, 2025, and to celebrate the occasion, Activision will finally reintroduce the fan-favorite map, Verdansk.

It’s time to mark the date on the calendar – Verdansk returns toCall of Duty: WarzoneonApril 3, 2025.

We will get to experience the original version of Verdansk, which came out in 2020. Yes, it will have all the fan-favorite hotdrop locations, including the TV Station, Military Base, Airport, Superstore, and more.

Verdansk was the first map in Warzone for many players, including me. Now that it’s finally coming back, it will also bring a lot of memories from those early days of the game. As their post on X says, “It’s time to revisit a place of unforgettable memories,” things are about to get a lot more nostalgic for Warzone veterans.

This map will be a part of theSeason 3 update, which also drops on the same date. So, at the time of writing, Verdansk is only 24 days away.

While the map is making a return, the gameplay mechanics from the original Warzone will not be coming back. It will stick to the mechanics from Black Ops 6. So, some things won’t be the same as they used to be, it seems.

According toSteamCharts, Call of Duty has been facing a steady decline in the player count since December 2024. With the map coming back, hopefully, we hope to be able to see a rise in its player count.
